Barracuda-Heart

Barracuda (1977)
Heart

Rating: 4.9

This song, though well-known mostly for its opening bass and guitar riff, is purely beautiful on its own. The vocals are amazing, with great lyrics, especially during the bridge: "'Sell me, sell you,' the porpoise said/ Dive down deep down save my head, you/ I think that you got the blues too/ All that night and all the next/ Swam without looking back/ Made for the western pools/ Silly, silly fools."

I have loved this song for a long time, so I was dismayed to see that, for some reason, "Barracuda" wasn't one of the main 1001 songs. I honestly don't understand why; this is one of the best songs of all time, in my humbly honest opinion.
